FrequentlyAsked Questions

Is the course suitable for beginners or advanced potters?

It is designed for both. Beginners learn foundational wheel throwing and hand-building step-by-step, while advanced potters receive individual technical guidance on complex forms backed by 20+ years of professional experience.

How do beginners and experienced students work together?

It creates a natural studio balance. Advanced potters work more independently—leaving us free to give beginners intense, hands-on attention, while ensuring experienced potters have an expert instructor on standby whenever needed.

Are classes fully instructed or is it open studio time?

Every session is a fully guided, hands-on class led by experienced ceramic instructors—this is a structured learning environment, not an unguided open studio.

How do class makeups, switches, freezes, and cancellations work?

You can easily manage your schedule online through our website. You can book makeup sessions for missed classes anytime while registered, permanently switch your weekly class spot, or freeze your membership for up to one month. Memberships have a 2-month minimum commitment and can be canceled anytime with 14 days' notice before your next renewal date.

Is clay, glazing, and firing included, and do I get to keep my work?

Yes. Raw clay, studio tools, custom glazes, and all kiln firings are fully included with no hidden fees. Every piece you make, glaze, and fire is yours to take home and use.

What clays and glazes are available, and when are pieces ready?

We offer a curated selection of high-quality clay bodies along with an extensive palette of custom studio glazes, underglazes, and slips. Finished pieces are ready for pickup within 2 to 3 weeks after final firing.
